Nezha Hayat, Chairwoman of the Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC), has been re-elected for a third term as chair of the Africa and Middle East Regional Committee (AMERC) of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO).
Thus, AMMC maintains its seat on the IOSCO Board of Directors, the regulator said in a press release.
The Africa and Middle East Regional Committee (AMERC) of IOSCO serves as a platform for financial market regulators in the region to discuss and exchange information, as well as address issues specific to capital market development.
Comprising 28 ordinary members and 14 associate members representing all regulators in Africa and the Middle East, AMERC plays a key role in shaping financial market regulations in the region.
As a member of the IOSCO Board of Directors, the AMMC actively participates in international discussions and debates concerning financial regulation.
