U.S. Senator Marco Rubio stated that the administration of former U.S. President Joe Biden made a mistake in its assessments when it decided to fund Ukraine in its conflict with Russia. He added that the previous U.S. administration somehow succeeded in convincing the world that Kyiv could achieve victory not only in the fighting but also in destroying Moscow.
Rubio pointed out that the conflict between Ukraine and Russia has caused significant setbacks for the country, describing the damage to Ukraine’s energy system as extremely severe. He noted that Ukraine has been set back by a century due to this conflict. He continued by saying that this crisis has greatly impacted Ukraine’s infrastructure, presenting the country with significant challenges in both the economy and energy sectors.
Rubio considered that the conflict has exacerbated the suffering of the Ukrainian people, leading to the destruction of large parts of the country, which had once been among the leading economic systems in the region.
Rubio’s statements come at a critical time, as the war in Ukraine continues, and the international community is closely watching how the situation will evolve in the near future.
