
This meeting is part of several gatherings to examine Iran’s repeated aggressions against Arab countries, as well as their repercussions on the region and on international peace and security, with a view to establishing a unified Arab stance in the face of these ongoing violations, to put an end to them and counter any attempt threatening the stability of said States.
In this regional and international context, the Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, has consistently condemned in the strongest terms all abject Iranian aggressions targeting brotherly Arab countries, and reaffirmed its full solidarity with these Sates and its complete support for the measures they undertake to defend their sovereignty and ensure the safety of their citizens and residents on their territory, in accordance with international Law.
Morocco was also among the first countries to welcome the announcement of a truce between the United States and Iran, as well as the launch of negotiations between the two sides, in the hope of reaching a political agreement that would put an end to the conflict and Iranian threats in the region.
This meeting was convened at the initiative of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which currently holds the presidency of the League’s Council at the ministerial level, in a regional context marked by the truce between Washington and Tehran amid a climate of caution and vigilance.
