
During a meeting in Rabat between Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates Mr. Nasser Bourita and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Communities of São Tomé and Príncipe Mrs. Ilza Maria dos Santos Amado Vaz, the two parties also welcomed the progress achieved in implementing the Roadmap for Cooperation between the two countries for the 2025–2027 period.
This Roadmap helped expand cooperation to new priority sectors for São Tomé and Príncipe, notably education, training, multisectoral technical cooperation, and the promotion of economic exchanges and investments, as well as to increase economic promotion initiatives to develop partnership between the two countries in these priority areas.
In the same vein, the two ministers reaffirmed shared commitment to making relations between the two countries a model of intra-African cooperation, based on the values of active solidarity, the sharing of expertise, and co-development.
They also welcomed the progress underway in bilateral economic relations. In this regard, Mr. Bourita conveyed satisfaction with quality ever-evolving bilateral relations, and emphasized the need to multiply exchanges and interactions between public and private actors, with a view to promoting trade and consolidating a partnership based on complementarity and co-development.
