1. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates has always attached great importance to the issue of monitoring the situation of the Moroccan community in areas of conflicts, unrest and disasters, through the establishment of a permanent crisis cell within its organizational structure that is activated when the need arises, as this cell has contributed effectively during previous crises.

2. In the context of the current events in Lebanon, this ministry worked to immediately activate the crisis cell to follow up on the situation of the Moroccan community residing in Lebanon around the clock, react to developments in the situation and take the necessary measures.
3. The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Lebanon, under the guidance of the Ministry, formed a similar crisis cell to maintain direct contact with members of the Moroccan community, receive their calls, check on them and guide them to ensure their safety and security.

4. In this context, it should be noted that the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Beirut is in constant contact with the vast majority of members of the Moroccan community residing in Lebanon and has their contact information in order to track their situation, except for a few exceptions whose whereabouts have not been reached and who most likely left Lebanon before the tense situation, or left permanently years earlier in order to settle in other countries.

5. According to available information, a good amount of our citizens left Lebanon with their families during the period before the outbreak of the current events and immediately after the frequent warnings and calls to leave.

6. While the Moroccan community, like other communities, has unfortunately been caught up in the developments in Lebanon, on the one hand, it was not targeted by the bombing and on the other hand, thanks to its integration into Lebanese society, the spirit of family solidarity contributes to helping to mitigate some of the consequences of the events.

7. Within the framework of monitoring the situation of the community in the Beirut area, where the Embassy is located, our diplomatic mission, in coordination with the competent Lebanese authorities, has followed up on the issue of facilitating the sheltering of members of the Moroccan community.
8. At the level of other Lebanese regions, similar points of contact have been established with the Central Emergency Committee, which follows up on the issue of sheltering displaced persons, in order to coordinate with it with regard to facilitating the admission of Moroccan citizens to shelter centers.
9. In light of this, the Ministry’s tracking cells and our diplomatic mission in Beirut are currently engaged in studying and developing all possible scenarios according to the course of events.
10. The Ministry’s services, in constant coordination with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Beirut, remain continuously mobilized to serve the Moroccan community in Lebanon and provide them with all necessary protection and assistance. They are closely and continuously monitoring the developments of the situation in order to activate scenarios that guarantee the safety and security of the Moroccan community living in Lebanon.
